The GWL programme is designed for infants and toddlers ages 12 months to 2 years. However, parents with children outside of this age range may also enrol in the GWL programme.

The GWL programme is a 12-week programme comprising two components:
1) Engage At Home + 2) LiveClass Online

Further, the GWL programme is designed to be a prelude to preschool as we help prepare your child for preschool ahead of time. As part of our service, we help to ease the process of enrolling to a preschool, and therefore, you will also receive information to facilitate your registration of interest with your desired The Little Skool-House preschool.

All GWL subscription plans begin on Mondays, and will be for 12 weeks spread over 3 months.

When your package subscription plans depends on when your purchase was made. You may refer to the GWL Plans page and confirmation email for your start date.

The Engage At Home material kits will be couriered to you, on a monthly basis, before lesson starts, unless payment has not been received.

Access to Engage at Home videos for the first month will be released on the start date of your subscription. For subsequent months, videos for that month will be released on the lesson start date for that month.

The GWL programme covers a wide range of themes and topics with activities and lessons aligned with the 5 Golden Pillars of Learning –

1) Language (Mandarin + English)
2) Physical
3) Psychosocial
4) Early Numeracy and Math
5) Early Discovery of the World/Science

These 5 Golden Pillars of Learning are covered in topics that are of interest to babies and toddlers and are relatable, such as: Wild Animals 野生动物, Farm Animals 农场动物, Sea Creatures 海洋生物, Land Transportation 陆路交通工具, Water Transportation 水上交通工具, Air Transportation 空中交通工具, Body Parts 身体部位, Family 家庭, etc.

The GWL programme is based on research-backed pedagogy by Early Childhood Expert Dr. Marjory Ebbeck. The GWL Mandarin programme is also under the guidance of Dr. Connie Lum EdD.

The learning specialists conducting the Engage At Home and LiveClass Online sessions are experts who are highly qualified and have rich experience in engaging young children. GWL specialists are specialised for each language (English or Mandarin), to provide children with an authentic learning experience to strengthen their language ability. Further, they are also highly trained in the GWL curriculum.

Yes, feel free to enrol in the Mandarin GWL programme even if you and/or your spouse are not fluent in Mandarin. While our Mandarin learning specialists will only speak in Mandarin during the classes, you will be given enough guidance on the flow of the activities in order to participate. Children who are given exposure to new languages from a young age are able to pick them up.

You may select one of three GWL subscription plan (Mandarin, English or Bilingual) available. If you feel that the programme is not suitable for your child, you may cancel any time before your next billing date by logging into your account and changing your subscription settings. However, it is recommended to complete the full 12-week course to maximise your baby’s learning.

You may refer to the timeslots for each language in the schedule pop-up on the homepage. More timeslots may be added depending on the demand.

There will be make-up classes for sessions that fall on Public Holidays. The make-up session dates will follow the schedule below, while the time of the session will remain the same as your usual class.

After enrolling, you will receive a link to a webform to do a one-time scheduling of your preferred timeslot. The timeslot you select will be the timeslot for all of your child’s classes for the entire 12-week GWL programme.

Please note that selection of your preferred class schedule is on a first-come, first-served basis and subject to confirmation by the GWL programme administrators. Upon confirmation of your child’s schedule, you will receive email reminders, including your Zoom access links for LiveClass Online.

There will strictly be no make-up classes for missed sessions. However, you will receive an email with a summary of what the class has gone through for that week. You may like to extend the learning on your own and use the kits, if applicable.

We may take photographs, voice recordings, video recordings and screenshots to document the LiveClass Online sessions for future references and review. Your permission will be sought should we wish to use any of these for publicity purposes.
